MICHIGAN REBOUND
Going back a few years as the economy really started to slide, we saw more and more people here in Michigan losing their “security.” Whether it was losing their job, losing their home, or just not being able to make ends meet, times were getting tougher here in Michigan. That is when Epic Church decided to put together a program that could help those who were struggling. Michigan Rebound was formed and it’s goal was simple to help those in need in our community in any way that we could.
Since we started this program at Epic, we have heard numerous stories of people just going out and helping others in need. There was a carpenter who repaired a flooded kitchen at “no charge” because the family couldn’t afford to pay him much, an auto mechanic who fixed a car “free of charge” for a young person struggling to make ends meet, and a generous person who donated money to help feed the hungry in our community. Through donations and clothing drives we have helped to provide food baskets to over a dozen families, clothing to dozens of families in Detroit, and Christmas presents for a single Mom’s child.
